KURT KARAKUL

Mr. Karakul practices with the firm Weston Hurd Fallon Paisley & Howley, LLP. He has been licensed to practice in the State of Ohio since 1979. He graduated from Kenyon College in 1973 and obtained his J.D. from Case Westen Reserve University School of Law in 1979. His primary area of practice has been in the area of real estate, although he also devotes his practice to probate and corporations. He served as the Chairman of The Young Lawyers Section of the Cleveland Bar Association in 1982-83. He was named as one of twenty young lawyers who made a difference by The American Bar Association's Barrister Magazine in 1988 as a result of creating and overseeing the Youth Resource Center Project in the Cleveland Public Schools.

Mr. Karakul is presently serving on the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Bar Association and the Partnership for a Safer Cleveland. He has served as the President of Kenyon College Alumni Association of Cleveland, and on the Board of Governors of the C.W.R.U. Law School Alumni Association. He was named the 1987 Distinguished Recent Graduate by Case Western Reserve Law School and has been honored by the Neighborhood Centers Association as an outstanding volunteer. He is a member of the American, Ohio State, and Cleveland Bar Association.

Since 1985, Mr. Karakul has been the co-author of a weekly real estate law column entitled "Law of the Land" appearing in the Saturday Real Estate Section of the Plain Dealer. He has lectured on real estate law to numerous Bar Associations and C.L.E. Programs as well as the general public.
